Grenadier Expedition 1.0
Lost Airplane Ridge to Apex Mountain
Be a part of history and join us on the first-ever Grenadier Expedition in Western Canada.
On 26 October your journey starts nice and early at our meet-up point at Sandpiper Golf Course (14282 Morris Valley Rd, Harrison Mills). Here, you will meet your fellow explorers over a delicious breakfast before hitting the road.
After fueling up, your first waypoint will take you through Hope and up the Trans-Canada Highway, across the Uztlius Creek Forest Service Road, until we find Lost Airplane Ridge (50.02968, -121.12048). Your Grenadier is guaranteed to get dirty as we trudge through mud and gravel to reach our destination of Lost Airplane Ridge. On arrival at our lunch spot, we will enjoy a much-needed refreshment break and a boxed lunch before carrying on our adventure.
The second half of the day will be traveling through the stunning scenery of the Okanagan region down the 97C until we get bored of the tarmac and split at the Shimpton Forest Service Road, through Trout Creek, and all the way to Summerland Resort (13011 Lakeshore Dr S, Summerland)
The day will end with a relaxation hour at your leisure with the resort's spa and sauna facilities followed by a group dinner and some fireside stories.
Our Sunday will start early with coffee and a walk around the waterfront and up the hill through the wineries. We’ll then have breakfast before getting back into the driver's seat to head to Apex Mountain.
You can expect a possible change of terrain with a chance of snow at Apex Mountain in late October making for stunning scenery. We’ll find our way to the Grenadier cabin at the top of Apex Mountain (49.3594, -119.91004) for some breathtaking views. Once our cameras are full of photos, we’ll head down to Nickel Plate Lake (49.39811, -119.95532) for a small break and refreshments.
We'll finish our adventure at the farm-to-table Row Fourteen at Klippers and enjoy a late lunch in the orchards. This will be also a goodbye point and you will have the option to convoy back together through the Crows Nest Highway to Vancouver or stay on to explore more of the Okanagan Valley.
This expedition will echo the BUILT FOR MORE ethos and is a fantastic opportunity to Grenadier together. We aim to make this first expedition extra special, and guarantee it'll be one for the history books - we sincerely hope you can join us.
